Jems Blog Hop - Retired Products - Six-Sided Sampler & Garden In Bloom Combo

Back to the start of the Blog Hop!

Good morning everyone!

You will have just joined me from Julie Wade's blog. I am sure you have been enjoying all the posts so far, I am still new at Stampin' Up! and at blogging so forgive me if I am doing this wrong and I am hoping some one will let me know if I am doing anything wrong!

So anyways the theme of this month's blog hop is Retired Products, so I have completed some cards using the Six Sided Sampler stamp set.

My first card uses the Six Sided Sampler set and the current Garden in Bloom stamp set. I decided to do a gatefold card, stamped flowers from the garden in bloom stamp set in the colours of Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, and Garden Green.

I then stamped hexagonal patterns and a sentiment from the retired Six Sided Sampler stamp set in the colours of Wisteria Wonder, Chocolate Chip, and Wild Wasabi. These I cut out using the retired Hexagonal Punch and stuck them onto the card using dimensionals. And that was my card.

For my next card I stamped the lines from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set as I like that grungy look but still pretty with the flower patterns. Again I used Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi ink colours and stamped patterned hexagons using the Six Sided Sampler stamp set, cut them out using the hexagon punch and stuc them onto the card. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set.

So that is it from me for now, I hoped you liked my blog but I am open to any improvements or suggestions that you may have!

Anyways, if you click on the right hand picture below then you will be directed to the next blog, which is Karen Watts' blog, and some more Stampin' Up! fun!!!! And if you missed the previous blog, which is Julie Wade's Createhandmadehappiness then just click on the left hand picture.

Traveler Stamp Set

Helloooo All!

I am here again updating my blog with a new stamp set, Traveler Wood-Mount Stamp Set, this time I am borrowing my mum's set as I have not got this one yet, surprisingly! Also, I am holding my 6 month son on my lap to keep him happy so am trying to type this blog with one hand so apologies if I make some typos or spelling mistakes.

Anyways lets get back to the stamp set... I really like it as it makes perfect cards for men and it is also a good set to grunge up and could also use for a steam punk style, so I might have to get it for myself ;-)

I have only had a chance to use one stamp from the set as I was only at my mums for a day. I take awhile to think of ideas as they don't come straight away and am very pedantic so I take time in putting the card together! However, the below image shows what other stamps are included in the set, so you could do a Leaving/Travelling or Gap Year card or use them in a card for someone who is moving away, for someone who likes trains, boats or photography as a hobby, just to think of a few...

The above cards were made with the Train stamp from the Traveler Stamp Set and inked with Soft Suede ink from the Neutrals collection. The blotches on the image is made with Night of Navy ink and Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set and the other images on the background card are also made with the same stamp set.

Right that is that from me until next time, I hope it was interesting and maybe you got some ideas from this blog. Below are the items I used to make the cards:
