Jem's Blog Hop!

Back to the beginning

Good morning everyone!!!

It is Jem's Blog Hop day today, the theme of this month's one is 'You are my Sunshine'.
You may have arrived here from Julie's blog or if you went backwards through the hops then hello from Amanda's blog!

Today I have chosen to use the Moon Baby stamp set, the Labeler Alphabet stamps and the Sunshine Wishes thinlits.

To begin with this was a really difficult theme for me to come up with a card, I knew I wanted to use the Sunshine thinlet but had no idea what to do with it, I am not a really gushy person so the notion of designing a card for my husband using them words made me feel sick, ha ha maybe not that bad but I was like no.

So I comtemplated some more and realised that everytime I said sunshine I thought of the song lyrics 'You are my Sunshine, you make me happy, when skies are grey' (I remember hearing this song years ago when I was a child on a muppets video called Gonzo's weird stuff, it WAS weird so maybe that is why it is stuck in my mind!). From that I came up with the below card:

I first of all stamped the baby with the umbrella using daffodil delight ink onto whisper white card, masked it off using a post it note then sponged on Basic Grey at the top along with Smokey Slate afterwards working my way down the card, at the bottom I sponged on Soft Sky just to give it a subtle colour. Also sponged a bit of Whisper White over top of the grey to give the effect of clouds, I then coloured in the baby image with watercolour pencils.

I sponged some Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango onto cardstock and then cut it out with the Sunshine thinlit, but you could just cut it out of Tangerine Tango or Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I used the Labeler Aphabet stamp set with Basic Grey to do the sentiment, and Finally, just mounted the card onto Daffodil Delight cardstock!

Hope you like the card, and for more ideas on Sunshine theme just go to the next blog!

Danson Park Craft Fair, Bexleyheath

Good morning all!

I have another craft fair that I will be holding a stall at this weekend from Saturday 1st July to Sunday 2nd July at Danson Park Country Fair in Bexleyheath and I would love it if you could join me there!

There will be plenty to do on both days and the details are here: Danson Park Country Fair

I will be selling cards, paper handbags, gorgeous planners, card kits, stampin up items and more!
There will also be a chance to win a card kit and a lovely tin for the made cards to go in.

I will be doing some demonstrations and make and takes as well, so it would be brilliant if you could come along.

If you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, classes or becoming a demonstrator then I will be on hand to answer them. Following on from that there is a brilliant offer for new demonstrators in the month of July and I suggest you seriously consider taking up this offer as it has never been offered before. It is called the Essentials Gift Pack and boy do I wish I had that offer available to me when I first started out as it would have helped me so much, it is an extra £65 worth of items including the £130 worth of items you choose for your starter kit generally for the cost of £99!!!!

This offer is available starting tomorrow so come join the Stampin' Up! family by following the below link or going the long way and pressing the tabs at the top of this page that says Join Now!

Happy Sunday, oh wait it's Monday tomorrow...

Happy Sunday, oh wait it's Monday tomorrow... it is not so happy Sunday as I have work tomorrow 😧 but luckily my seven day week is not until the following week so at least I have a weekend coming up, phew!

So this Saturday just gone I did a craft stall at the Dicken's festival in Rochester, Medway that is only 10 minutes from home which makes it handy for my hubby to give me a hand with unloading the boxes and then he can either catch the bus home or walk it depending upon the weather, as it may be a 10 min drive but it's about a 40 minute walk!

So here was my craft stall:

My husband, Glen, was the one who came up with the idea of having the lights in the crates and he put them in for me too, which shows he really does help a lot when it comes to my crafting. The crates are from Hobbycraft and the lights are from Amazon.

And this is another pic of the stall and my 20 month old son who was as good as gold during the setup and takedown of my stall, unfortunately I couldn't keep him with me for the whole day as it would have been too boring for him!

One of the things, besides my cards, I was selling on my stall was the Stampin' Up! Love Today planner! It is brilliant, I received mine the other day and have already started using it, here is a close up of it:

It is gorgeous and you can start it any time of the year. You can also purchase a refill after the year is through to replenish your pages, what more could you ask for.
If you would like to order yours then just click below and go to check out!

Love Today Planner

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog today, and I have now added all my future classes to the CLASSES tab so please feel free to check it out and hopefully I will see you there.

Thanks!

Happy Saturday!

Good morning everyone!

I am excited as:
1. The new catalogue is finally upon us and my order will hopefully be winging its way to me soon! and...

2. My craft class is upon us! I may be demoing in it as you read this.

SO this is my first proper class outside of my house, so I have hired a classroom from my local church and am hoping to do this every 1st Saturday of the month (just not in July as I will be a stall holder at Danson Park in Bexleyheath and will be doing make and takes there).

I did not want to post this earlier as didn't want to spoil the surprise of what cards we were going to make, but as I should be at my event it should be safe to share now!

So I decided for our class that they would make 3 cards and a 3D project. The sets I used were the Delightful Daisy Suite and Pick a Pattern Suite, along with the wood crate framelit.

Above are the first cards that we are making, it will be a choice of either one and if there is enough time then they can do the other card.

Both of these cards use the Pieces & Patterns stamp set, Pick a Pattern DSP and Woodland embossing folder.

With these cards I have shown that this stamp set and DSP can be used for the recipient either being male or female, and it is just the colour of the cardstock that determines it, thus showing how versatile the stamp set is! To be honest I was not sure about this stamp set, I liked it but did not know what to do with it, and after trawling pinterest still was unsure but got it in my preorder anyways. However, now that this idea came to me I now love the set as I have come up with so many more ideas, and it is a perfect set for males cards that are, in my opinion, always hard to make.

Right so my next card is using the same stamp set but with a different page of the same packet of DSP.

I love it as it makes a brilliant child's card, need I say more?!

Here is my final card, and this was made with the Daisy Punch, Daisy Delight stamp set and Delightful Daisy DSP.

I would like to say thank you to kingsonpaddington.blogspot.com (Carolyn King) as it was her card that gave me the idea for this.

And my 3D project also uses the Daisy stamp set and Punch.

It also makes use of the new Wood Crate framelit, new Wood Textures DSP and the new double stitched Daffodil Delight ribbon.

It was quite easy to make but looks so effective, instead of using the daisy punch to make daisies I used it to make Gerberas.

 Pretty aren't they?

Well I hoped you liked my items from todays blog and if are local and would like to attend one of my classes to make some of these items then just head over to my classes tab near the top of this page.

For all items used please see below table and thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully I will see you again soon!

Thanks

New Catalogue coming soon, only 4 days!!

So the new 2017-18 catalogue will be upon us soon and here is a video of one of the new products that I was able to purchase in my pre order, it is gorgeous!

It is called the Soft Sayings Card Kit, you can make 20 cards and all you need is adhesive, such as tear and tape or glue. The card kit also includes the dimensionals so you do not even need that! It has cardstock, card bases, envelopes, an inkpad, a clear block to mount your photoploymer stamps which are also a part of the package, washi tape, and much more!

I especially like this set as it has some glitter embelishments, which are very pretty. Anyways instead of me just talking about it, I will let you see for yourself:

And if you want to see me opening my own cardkit to have a look, come and watch my pre order video:

If you live in Europe and would like to order a kit then just go to my online shop tab above, or contact me via email or phone on the details at the top of my blog.

Thanks for reading & watching!

Sneek Peek at upcoming catalogue items!

Good morning!

Hope you are all well! It has been awhile since I posted on here but there have been some new and exciting things happening here, such as ONSTAGE LIVE in Amsterdam and NEW 2017-18 ANNUAL CATALOGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So let me tell you Onstage Live was brilliant but the catalogue is even better and you won't be disappointed!

The catalogue does not go live until 1st June 2017 but if you would like one I can send you one as soon as they become available, just contact me via EMAIL

Since I went to Onstage I was allowed to do a pre pre demo order for some products, I will do a youtube video of my goodies I purchased so stay tuned, but in the meantime I am just starting to do videos so check them out HERE!

So one of the items I purchased was the Birthday Memories Suite, which included a photopolymer stamp set, along with goegeous coordinating 12"x12"  Designer Series Paper and dies that cut the stamped images and some of the images on the papers! How cool is that! No more fussy cutting.

So these are the cards I have created with the set:

I coloured in these images with the watercolour pencils and blender pen, which I find produces a gorgeous subtle coloured image.

As you may have noticed there is a Happy Birthday sentiment and yes this is a die!!!!!!!!!! New for the new catalogue, woop woop!

I love this little girl and I masked the image of her over the present to make it seem she is hiding a present behind her back.

As with the above and below card images these all use the new DSP, they are beautiful and can be used as a framed image just as themselves, especially one of the papers that is not shown here.

Look at this chef, love how you can make it look like he has just iced the sentiment.

I loved making these cards, especially colouring in the images, I hope you will love this set once it is available. If you have any questions about this set, then please contact me and I will endeavour to answer your query no matter how complicated or simple it may seem!

I am looking at doing these three cards as a card kit in the post for June, which as a basic kit will include the stamp set, measured and cut cardstock, DSP, embellishments and instructions on how to create them.

If you would like to purchase the dies and/or watercolour pencils as well as part of the kit then that will be an option too, but you do not need the dies to make these as they can be fussy cut with scissors. You will need to have your own inks and adhesives.

If you are interested in the card kit then please register your interest with me so that I can get them prepared and provide you with payment details, for an idea the basic card kit will cost roughly £30 including postage.

Thank you so much for reading! If you would like to leave a comment then please do as I like reading through them.

Thanks

Sarah xx

A New Year, A New Occasions Catalogue & SALE A BRATION!

Hello everyone!

Well it has been a busy month for me with Christmas stalls (making cards, bags, pictures and notepads), making personalised calendars and cards, buying christmas presents (and wrapping them as that takes a lot of time too!), working (as I still have a full time job) and of course last but definately not least spending time with my family.

It was a brilliant month and a wonderful year, I joined Stampin' Up! earlier in the year which I am happy I made that decision, I then returned to work in October from maternity leave (which was not the best but had to be done), my little Jack started walking at 11 months in September, heard some wonderful news from two of my good friends! and had a lovely time at Stampin' Up! Onstage Local in Telford in November (my first ever one) and that was just some of the things to name a few!  Oh and how could I forget but for my christmas present my hubby paid for a ticket for me to fly to Amsterdam and stay over for a few nights so that I can attend the Stampin' Up! Onstage Live in Amsterdam in April (where the new annual catty will be released), how brilliant is that?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is the best husband ever! 😊

But before I get ahead of myself we have only just celebrated Christmas and brought in the New Year. Has anyone got any new year resolutions they have made? My resolution is to try and achieve enough flexi points so that I can attend the SU incentive trip, I would love to be able to achieve that, it may seem out of my reach but it doesn't hurt to try!

NEW SPRING/SUMMER 2017 CATALOGUE

So the reason I am writing this post is to wish you all a Happy New Year and top bring you information about the New Occasions Catalogue that is coming to you on the 4th January 2017!

I have already shared with you the displays I made with the new products from the catty and soon you will be able to get your hands on them too.

CLASSES USING THE NEW PRODUCTS

If you would like a catalogue then just contact me I would be happy to send you one and any additional information you would like!
