Jar of Love

Good morning all!

How are you all? have you been doing much crafting recently, and have you been using the Jar of Love bundle? If so, then I would love to see some lovely piccies of them!

So here are the cards that I have been making with my Jar of Love bundle. I originally was not going to buy this set as was not that keen on them but after seeing some lovely makes with them from other SU demostrators I just had to get them!

I have only made three cards so far with this set but it does take time stamping and then die cutting the flowers, but it is totally worth it once you finish the card!

For the first I stamped onto a window sheet with black StazOn ink and cut it out with the jar die. I then used blue vellum behind the window sheet to look like water. 

I stamped the flowers with Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, and Calypso Coral. I stamped the large part of the flower by stamping off, so its a paler colour and the second colour I stamped straight onto the flower, so it is a darker look and looks like two different inks were used for one flower but it is only one. 

The branches in the background were done with white craft ink before sticking the flowers on and then the jar over top.

The stalks were stamped with Wild Wasabi ink.





This card was made similar to the above but the jar was just done on white card and some stalks stamped onto it.

The floating flowers around the jar was done using the white craft ink and some rhinestones.

The sentiment was used from the Vertical Greetings stamp set.

This card and the above card base were made with the Crumb Cake card, cut in half longways at 10.5cm and then folded in half to make two card bases.

This final card was done in the same as the above cards but the background of the card was put through the 'Petal Burst' embossing folder to give it that nice textured backing and a bit of lace was wrapped around the edge of the card which I think gives it a vintage feel!

Balloon Celebration & Balloon Punch Bundle

Hello again!

Sorry it has been overdue for a post but I have been busy getting creative so that I could have something to post :-)

I got the Balloon Celebration & Balloon Punch Bundle the other day, well I got the stamps a week or so ago but had to wait for the punch as it was on back order but I finally received it!

So when I was looking at this stamp set I was thinking I wanted something that could be given to kids as well as adults, so I thought I would use the Brushstrokes background stamp as I thought it looked a bit like a fairground, maybe I had that idea from the latest episode of Extant I was watching at the time anyways, I used sponge daubers to get the two different colours on the same stamp.

I am still stuck with using the inks from the Subtles set as they are still my fave at the moment so used these on my cards. The balloons were punched from the coordinating colour cardstock and stamped with the dotty image from the Balloon Celebration stamp set. I used dimensionals to get the height on some of the balloons and the sentiments are also from the set apart from the Happy Birthday that comes from Boys Will Be Boys stamp set. Then I just added a few embellishments here and there, I love my rhinestones and candy dots so they always go on at least one card!

Definitely Dahlia and Birthday Blossoms stamp set combination!

I love the subtle colours collection, as the name suggests it is nice and well, subtle! But I think the colours make the cards look elegant and pretty, With this make I combined the Definitely Dahlia and Birthday Blossoms stamp sets. I have made a few cards with these stamp sets so it shows how versatile they can be and they I have got my money's worth with them.

Sometimes I have made cards too complicated in the past but I am hoping these are not too bad. I do like simplistic cards which I have seen from other demonstrators but I find it hard to just choose a few things to use as I want to try numerous stamp sets and techniques all at once!

Also I do like how Stampin' Up! have inks, cards and embellishments that are all colour coordinating, as before I used to spend hours trying to figure out which colours went together but now I can just concentrate on the substance of the card,
