First Craft Class!

Hello everyone!

So there was not a post on Saturday and that was because I was busy with my first ever craft class!

For my first class friends attended so that I could get a bit of practice in for when I eventually teach others. These were people that are not really into crafting but they were doing me a favour which I am grateful for, but I think after how it went that they really enjoyed it and are regretting making fun of me for getting excited about papercrafting! lol. They now want me to do more classes and are thinking about purchasing some items too, so that is a bonus, as I really liked doing the class, and sharing my passion with others.

I had made quite a few samples which I had on display and which I will show on my blog bit by bit so stay tuned! I also did a small game where I CASED a card from the new catalogue and my attendees had to then find that card in the catalogue, and whoever found it first won the card. It was a way to get them to look at the products in the catalogue but also a little something fun to do!

I would love to do more classes no matter what the size or even 1:1, so if you are interested and live in the Kent area or in the Hertfordshire area (as I am there a lot) then please contact me to discuss details.

I am also currently considering doing Cards in the Post so if you are interested in this then please let me know or keep an eye out on my blog for it. It would be a package I put together where you can make 3 cards I have sampled with products I post to you in the mail, this includes a stamp set, cardstock, embellishments and instructions on how to make them cards. You would have to provide your own adhesive and ink or purchase them from my website. The rough cost of this, including postage, would be about £35, depending what was included, as I can include a stamping block for a little extra. The cost would be payable through PayPal and I will set up a link or email you the details when requested.

SO that is it from me for now but keep an eye out for upcoming classes or events or contact me for further information and details.

A World of Thanks

Good morning!

So another day is here where I have managed to get another crafting session in :-D

So this time I have used 'A World of Thanks' stamp. It is only one stamp but I like it as it's versatile, it acts as a background stamp but you can also use it by itself as the card image and you do not need anything else to go with it.

As you can see from the image below that I have used two different colours of ink and some embellishment, such as ribbon or twine.

I have friends that I know in Spain and France so I have highlighted certain words in another ink colour to use for that specific language/country. As you can see you can use this stamp for many different countries.

So there you have it, that is my post for today but please come back again when I have my new post.

Thank you for reading

Something to say

Hellooo everybody!

How are you all? I have been busy putting away my craft stash/haul that I recently got so been more procrastinating about my items than rather making anything with them, but there is so much to do with them that I can not decide!

If you have not had a chance to look at the new catalogue then just click on the catalogue image on the side of my blog and it will take you to it.

So until I decide what to do with my new goodies, here is something I have done with a retired stamp set, Something to Say.

I have used the small flower from the Something to Say stamp set and stamped it several times in Night of Navy ink on Night of Navy card, then Perfect Plum ink on Perfect Plum card and Elegant Eggplant ink on Elegant Eggplant card. All of the colours are from the Regals collection. I also stamped these ink colours onto plain whisper white cardstock. I then punched out the flowers with the coordinating flower punch from the Itty Bitty punch collection.

I stamped the sentiments, the Happy Birthday one is from a retired hostess stamp set and the Retirement stamp is from the Wild about Flowers photopolymer stamp set which is still available. Once these were stamped I then stuck the flowers all around the sentiments, randomly. And viola thats all I did. Of course though I embellished some of the flowers with a few rhinestones!

That is it from me for now, hope you liked my post. See you soon.

Thank you for reading.

Jem's Blog Hop, New In-Colours & Botanical Blooms

Hellooo all!!!

So you will have just joined me from Julie Wade's blog Create Handmade Happiness, how is it so far? There are so many amazing and interesting projects from all these lovely ladies, hopefully my can live up to their standards!

This blog hop will be occurring every 1st Saturday of the month so make sure you don't miss out.

Sooo last month's blog hop was about retiring products, well this month's one due to the new catalogue that has just come out this week (yayyyyy!!!! and a little dance) is all about the new in colours!

The new in-colours which will have probably been mentioned in the posts previously but I will say again are:
  • Dapper Denim
  • Emerald Envy
  • Flirty Flamingo
  • Peekaboo Peach
  • Sweet Sugarplum

For this post I have done two cards which use the new in-colors and the new copper embossing powder.

So for the above cards I used the Botanical Blooms photopolymer stamp set, which I have found so many different cards I can make with it and am looking to use it on my shadow box (previous post) once I get my dies to go with it, as I don't want to hand cut them ;-)

With the card on the right I used the new in-colours and just stamped the flowers and leaves randomly on the page, I then used the Botanical Gardens vellum over top of the stamped card (this was the vellum that came free during sale-a-bration). I stamped 'Happy Birthday, Everyone' from the hostess stamp set using versamark ink and heat embossed with the new Copper embossing powder.
I used Flirty Flamingo ruched ribbon at the top and then embellished it with a Botanical Garden Jewel and some enamel dots.

For the left card I stamped the leaves randomly with versamark ink and then heat embossed them with Copper embossing powder. I love the new copper embossing powder (thanks Sam!). I then again used the Botanical Gardens vellum over top of the stamped card and placed the copper embossed Affectionately Yours Washi Tape at the top of the card.
I finished it off with a Happy Birthday sentiment stamped in Emerald Envy and some Botanical Garden Jewels. Oh and some rhinestones, which I love using, they are nice and sparkly!

Bookmarks using the Botanical Blooms!

So whilst I was making the above cards I had some scrap card left over and wondered what to do with it, and suddenly thought oh maybe they might be big enough to make some bookmarks. My mum was crafting with me so she made the left and right ones and I made the middle one. She liked the Botanical Blooms stamp set so much that she wanted them as well!

And here they are:

The left and right bookmarks were made with the Botanical Blooms stamp set and the sentiment is from the Wild about Flowers photopolymer stamp set.
The middle bookmark uses the Papillon Potpourri Clear-Mount Stamp Set, I then used the corner rounder to cut the corners and the sentiment is from the Wetlands clear mount stamp set. Twine and Night of Navy ribbon was used to embellish them.

Also if you click the main blog hop title at the top of this post then you will start at the beginning of the blog hop again.

November OnStage Display Board Stampers needed

Good morning All!

I have been up very late finishing my creations for the entry for the November OnStage Display Board Stampers. So I am sorry if this post may have a few spelling mistakes as I am very tired!

We had to do two 3D items, three cards, and one scrapbook page so here is what I have done. For my 3D items they are:

A box I have made out of Soft Suede card which I then decorated with Botanical Blooms dies and the sides of the lid of the box is embellished with Affectionately Yours washi tape. The flowers were made with Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Cherry Cobbler, Watermelon Wonder and Daffodil Delight cardstock and the leaves were made with Old Olive, Emerald Envy, Garden Green and Always Artichoke cardstock.

My second 3D item is a shadow box/ picture frame and decorated it with the balloon punch, Window Sheet and Birthday Boutique DSP. I also embellished it with some enamel dots and rhinestones. The sentiment is using the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and Banners punch. I used Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride Cardstock.

Below is my scrapbook page which I made using the Marina Mist from the subtles background DSP:

And here are my three cards:

The top one is a gatefold card using the Hexagon punch, Six Sided Sampler stamp set and  Garden in Bloom stamp set. The second card uses the Hardwood stamp and the Flower Shop stamps. The third and final card uses the Wetlands stamp set which has been coloured using the SU inks and the Aqua Painters. The sentiment is from a hostess stamp set.

Well that is it! I hope you like my creations and fingers crossed SU! like my entry, but it does not matter as I enjoyed making these :-)
